As the dust settles on another fantastic PPMA awards ceremony, we are delighted to be making some space on our trophy shelf…
It is with great pride that we can say that, for the 2nd year in a row, members of the Jobsgopublic team took to the stage to accept a PPMA award. On this occasion it was for Private Sector Partner/Supplier of the Year for our partnership with London Borough of Havering.
Recruiting social workers is a significant challenge for any employer and London Borough of Havering was no different. The publication of their Children’s Social Work Workforce Strategy identified an urgent need to dramatically reduce their vacancy factor as well as a significant reliance on agency staff. Social workers were being drawn to higher paid jobs with better-known inner-London boroughs making the challenges Havering faced even more difficult to tackle.
Havering had been working with Jobsgopublic on an ad-hoc basis for a number of years and our reputation for providing innovative recruitment solutions made us a natural choice for a partnership that would address the issue of social worker recruitment in the borough. Targets were set of reducing the vacancy factor by a massive 22% and place Havering as an ‘employer of choice’ for social workers in London.
Jobsgopublic went about formulating a strategy that would promote the Havering employer value proposition and develop an attractive Children’s Services brand. This would be achieved through an innovative campaign and an active recruitment process.
Jobsgopublic implemented a dynamic multi-platform attraction campaign which included search engine marketing (SEM), display advertising and social media advertising. This resulted in Havering recruiting to a number of key roles, successfully hitting their vacancy factor target.
We are overjoyed with the results of this campaign and for this to be recognised at this year’s PPMA awards. We hope that this partnership will continue to enjoy this level of success for a long time to come.
