SmartSearch from Jobsgopublic

Since its creation SmartSearch has grown from an initial idea to a highly successful operation. The team continues to help clients find top quality candidates for executive and hard to fill vacancies!

What is SmartSearch?

SmartSearch is Jobsgopublic’s bespoke resourcing service specialising in executive, senior management and hard to fill roles.

How does it work?

The SmartSearch team works closely with clients to get an excellent understanding of what their ideal candidate would be. The team then uses a variety of innovative online attraction methods as well as highly targeted search techniques to ensure that no stone is left unturned!

Once the applications have been received the candidates are then considered against specific criteria and telephone interviews are carried out in order to produce the final high calibre shortlist.

Our successes are many, with over 95% appointments first time and more and more clients let us know how happy they are with their new colleagues and the service they received.

Notable campaigns have included the appointment of Birmingham City Council’s Chief Executive Mark Rodgers as well as a Regeneration and Economic Development Director for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Other more recent campaigns have included multiple roles for Westminster City Council and their tri-borough partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea. We have also recently finished a massive 10-vacancy campaign for Thurrock Council.

Meet the team

Roxana Abbasi

The longest standing member of the SmartSearch team, Roxana has been Resourcing Partner for the last 3 years.

Having previously worked as Recruitment Strategy Adviser for the London Borough of Hounslow, Roxana joined the SmartSearch having developed an expertise in sourcing quality candidates for Executive and Specialist roles. She oversees all SmartSearch campaigns, from taking the initial brief with clients, through to consulting with them on the final shortlist.

Roxana takes great pride in the work that SmartSearch does helping clients find excellent talent to fill vacancies that are critical to the organisation.

Roxana also has a special talent of her own and used to be quite the singer back in her school days… Britain’s got Talent watch out!

Roxana’s favourite quote:

“Carpe Diem.”

Jon Dilling

Having managed the commercial activities of SmartSearch for the last 18 months, Jon came to the team following an extremely successful spell as Regional Sales Manager at the Hemming Group for their flagship publication, The MJ.

Jon takes great pride in the services that the SmartSearch team provide, he cites “being able to offer clients a more affordable and alternative way to recruit senior and specialist roles” as his favourite part of his work.

Jon hasn’t always worked in recruitment he used to be a bit of David Hasslehoff in his youth working as a trained lifeguard at his local pool (hands up who now has the Baywatch theme tune in their head!)

Jon’s favourite quote:

“I’m a lover, not a fighter”

Eleanor Clarke

Ellie is the newest member of the SmartSearch team but has already proved to be a great asset for the candidate resourcing aspect of the service. It is Ellie’s job to source suitable candidates following specific briefs from clients and she thrives on talking to candidates in order to properly assess their suitability for a role.

Ellie has always been good at seeking out talent when she was 5 years old, Ellie ran away from her mother in order to stalk John Cooper Clarke simply because he looked cool. Apparently he was so impressed with her forwardness that he let her sit next to him on the bus.

Ellie’s favourite quote:

“I would not lead you to the promised land even if I could, because if I led you in, someone else would lead you back out. You must use your heads and your hands to get yourself out of your present condition.”
