Transforming ICT recruitment in the public sector
A partnership between top web-based talent management technology providers, JGP (publishers of Jobsgopublic.com) and Kable, the leading providers of public sector ICT market intelligence and media services has been launched in a move that promises to transform ICT recruitment in the public sector.
Now public sector bodies looking to recruit into traditionally hard to fill, ICT positions will be able to access thousands of potential job seekers efficiently and affordably.
Thanks to the partnership, Jobsgopublic.com’s customers gain access to a much greater pool of high calibre ICT talent delivered to them through Kable’s market leading publications. In return, Kable will gain access to the largest dedicated audience of active public sector job seekers online and to the leading jobsboard technologies managed through JGP.
KableNet.com attracts more than 100,000 ICT professionals to the site each month to keep informed about major ICT initiatives across Government and issues around the use of new technology. That joined with JGP’s existing recruitment network, which delivers more than 600,000 job seekers every month to public sector employees, will make it a powerful resource for both employers and prospective employees.
JGP’s joint founder, Richard Tyrie said: “It is partnerships such as this that continue to place JGP ahead of the game by enabling us to unite job seekers with highly specialised skills, in this case ICT, with public sector employers.
“We are delighted to be launching this partnership with Kable, which enables us to offer our customers unparalleled access to a diverse and high calibre talent pool in the field of ICT. Along of course with all the advantages they have come to expect from JGP such as the greater numbers and diversity of candidates we attract at a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising”.
Steve Voss, Kable’s Director said: “For some time we’ve been looking for the right partner to provide our community with a high quality and effective route to both recruit the best employees and to help make that next move. We’re convinced that in partnership with JGP, we can now provide this service to our readers”.

Connecting talent through Regional Recruitment Portals
West Midlands Regional Star October 2006
Challenge : How can the public sector compete more effectively with the private sector for talented people? One approach is to exploit the public sector’s unique strength – our willingness to collaborate. It would be almost unthinkable for competing private sector companies to collaborate on recruitment activities, but this is exactly what a number of public sector agencies are now doing – using their combined resources and a coherent regional E-recruitment strategy to attract a wider pool of talent.
