Dartford council has been praised for its housing services, it has emerged.

In a study by Kent county council’s supporting people programme, those working for the public sector body were commended for providing value for money, leadership and excellence.

Changes to the ownership of thousands of homes in Wales have been announced.

In news that might interest people seeking jobs in the housing sector, it was revealed that some 3,600 properties will be transferred from ownership by the local authorities to Monmouthshire Housing Association as part of a new large scale voluntary transfer.

A new group director of operations appointed by Notting Hill Housing has expressed his enthusiasm for working with the organisation’s current team.

Femi Adewole will be the newest addition to the operation when he moves to the group in June from Guinness Trust, where he has worked as the investment director for the past three years.

Camden has been commended for its supporting people programme in an independent report released by the Audit Commission.

The London borough was awarded a two star rating out of three stars for its services, which will soon be extended to give support to people suffering from mental health problems.
