Southend council providing ‘improving housing service’

Southend borough council has received praise from the Audit Commission, it has been revealed.

In the commission’s latest corporate assessment report, those working for the public sector body were commended for making improvements to its housing services, in addition to providing "excellent" cultural, leisure and housing benefits services.

Audit Commission praises Poole council

Poole borough council has been the latest local authority to receive praise from the Audit Commission, it has been revealed.

Those working for the public sector body were deemed by the commission to be working well with network partners in understanding what its residents require.

Housing association wins customer service award

Gloucestershire-based Two Rivers Housing has been praised in a new study by Quality Housing Services (QHS), it has emerged.

Those working for the public sector body were stated as offering an excellent level of service by the firm, making it one of just 29 housing associations throughout Britain to be deemed as such.

Dartford receives praise for housing services

Dartford council has been praised for its housing services, it has emerged.

In a study by Kent county council’s supporting people programme, those working for the public sector body were commended for providing value for money, leadership and excellence.

Housing association changes in Wales

Changes to the ownership of thousands of homes in Wales have been announced.

In news that might interest people seeking jobs in the housing sector, it was revealed that some 3,600 properties will be transferred from ownership by the local authorities to Monmouthshire Housing Association as part of a new large scale voluntary transfer.
