Solihull receives corporate assessment praise
The Audit Commission has praised a council operating in the West Midlands, it has been revealed.
In its corporate assessment report, the commission commended the services provided by those working for Solihull metropolitan borough council, rating it three out a maximum of four.
Among the areas the public sector body was praised for include improving road safety, reducing crime and providing a good range of services for children and young people.
Gary Stevens, senior manager at the Audit Commission, said: "Solihull council is working well with other organisations to improve quality of life for local people."
