Bournemouth council offering ‘effective housing services’
The housing services provided by Bournemouth council have been praised in a recent report by the Audit Commission, it has been revealed.
According to the organisation, those working for the public sector body are providing a "good" level of service with "promising" outlook for achieving future improvements.
In its report, the commission’s inspection team declared that the council is making effective use of both social and private sector housing.
Furthermore, the local authority was indicated as delivering some good outcomes for vulnerable sections of the community and working effectively with developers and housing associations on the provision of high quality properties.
Kieran Colgan, lead housing inspector for the Audit Commission in the south-west, said: "Bournemouth council has made housing one of its key priorities.
"It has focused its own resources and worked effectively with partners to secure improvements across the service."
Such news could be of interest to those looking for housing jobs on the public sector via a regional recruitment portal.
Earlier this month, South Lakes Housing, which is based in Cumbria, was deemed by the Audit Commission as having a good understanding of its tenants’ requirements and is delivering effective maintenance services.
