Walsall council praised for planning services
The planning services provided by Walsall borough council have been highlighted in a report, it has emerged.
A recent corporate assessment report by the Audit Commission has praised those working for the public sector institution for making sure that planning and other services deemed to be of major importance "perform well and support broader ambitions".
Furthermore, the council - in conjunction with Education Walsall - was highlighted as providing good services for children and young people in the town.
Overall, the public sector body was highlighted as taking successful steps towards its goal of making Walsall a good place for people to live and work and for businesses to invest in.
In addition, it was claimed that the needs of residents are being met, as engagement with people across the town reported to be "strong".
