Kent county council ‘performing strongly’
Kent county council has been praised in a new study by the Audit Commission, it has been revealed.
As part of its corporate assessment report, those working for the public sector body were commended for its operations with numerous network partners in helping to improve the quality of life for its residents.
In addition, the council was acclaimed for providing a cost-effective and responsive service for the past ten years.
Stephen Mead, senior manager for the Audit Commission, said: "The council works hard to be outward-looking, which gives it important strengths.
"It provides a strong voice for Kent, building high-level alliances, including government departments where its drive for innovation is creating interest in joint testing of new ideas."
With the council stated to be performing strongly in areas such as social care and skills development, such news might be of interest to those seeking work in the public sector.
Last month, Wyre borough council was deemed by the Audit Commission to be providing a "good" level of serve to its residents.
