The improvements made by Wyre borough council have been commended in a recent report by the Audit Commission, it has emerged.

In its study, the commission deemed that those working for the public sector body are performing well and offering a "good" level of service.

A new Audit Commission report has praised the work of a council operating in the south-west of England, it has been revealed.

In its comprehensive performance assessment, those working for South Somerset district council were rated by the commission as offering a "good" service.

Ribble Valley council praised in CPA report

Ribble Valley district council is offering an improving service to its residents, it has been reported.

In a recent report by the Audit Commission, those working for the public sector body were deemed to have a "good" rating in its comprehensive performance assessment (CPA), an increase from a previous report where it was reported to be "fair".

Contour Housing ‘gets top marks from Housing Corp’

Those working for a housing and regeneration organisation in the north-west of England have been praised in a recent report, it has emerged.

In an assessment by the Housing Corporation, Contour Housing Group was given full marks across all four categories of assessment - governance, development, management and financial viability.

Speaking last week John Healey, local government minister, reported that people working for local authorities play a vital role in the development of communities.
