Ribble Valley council praised in CPA report
Ribble Valley district council is offering an improving service to its residents, it has been reported.
In a recent report by the Audit Commission, those working for the public sector body were deemed to have a "good" rating in its comprehensive performance assessment (CPA), an increase from a previous report where it was reported to be "fair".
Tom Keena, senior manager for the Audit Commission, said: "The council shows effective community leadership and residents have very high levels of satisfaction with the council and its services."
Such news could be of interest to those people who are seeking work in the public sector via a regional recruitment portal.
The council was particularly commended for its work in reducing levels of crime, providing a value for money service, understanding the needs of local residents and operating with network partners to offer "effective community leadership".
Earlier this month, John Healey, local government minister, claimed that those working for councils have a crucial role in the wellbeing of their local communities.
