Leeds council ‘making continued improvements’
Leeds city council has been commended in a recent report by the Audit Commission, it has been revealed.
According to the institution, those working for the public sector body were deemed to have been offering an improved service over the past four years and are now "performing well".
In particular the council was praised for its work in providing social care for vulnerable sections of the community and carrying out regeneration projects throughout the city.
Stephen Gregg, senior manager for the Audit Commission in West Yorkshire, commended the council for its operations with network partners in providing services.
He said: "Leeds city council continues to make significant and continuous improvements, both in the way it works and to services for local people.
"There is a strong ambition supported by a clear vision shared with partners on how Leeds will continue to improve the quality of life for all."
