New initiative looks to link third sector workers
A new initiative has been launched in South Yorkshire that will aim to establish better links between those working in the third sector in the area, it has emerged.
Various groups that operate within the local community should be able to collaborate more easily as result of what has been dubbed the Amazing People scheme.
Sarah Tyler, director of South Yorkshire Open Forum, said: "By creating Amazing People we wanted to create a single point of contact for South Yorkshire’s voluntary sector."
Following on from forging links with network partners it may be possible that charities are able to operate more efficiently and effectively.
Among the groups set to benefit from the scheme is Groundwork Dearne Valley and a representative for the charity told the South Yorkshire Times that working on charity projects can really help to bring a community closer together.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that charity groups in Scotland will soon be able to access IT, marketing and human resource advice from the Cranfield Trust.
