Posted in Housing on the April 14th, 2008

Gloucestershire-based Two Rivers Housing has been praised in a new study by Quality Housing Services (QHS), it has emerged.

Those working for the public sector body were stated as offering an excellent level of service by the firm, making it one of just 29 housing associations throughout Britain to be deemed as such.

Areas which Two Rivers Housing was praised for include maintenance, rent collection and managing complaints.

Sharon Humberstone, customer services manager for Two Rivers Housing, claimed that the certification means "we now know we are doing the right things for our customers".

Furthermore, it was commended for engaging with its tenants via a number of focus groups, since it took over housing stock from the Forest of Dean council in 2003.

Mrs Beven, a member of one of these groups, said: "We welcome the opportunity to have a voice and to act as a spokesperson for other tenants."

Such news might be of interest to people seeking housing jobs via a regional recruitment portal.

Meanwhile, a recent Audit Commission report revealed that Blackpool Coastal Homes is providing a good level of service to its residents, giving it two stars out of a possible three.
