Compact Network canvasses charity workers for opinions

Posted in Charity/Voluntary on the April 8th, 2008

A number of focus group sessions are to take place in London later this year judging the effect of the Compact in regards to those working for charity and voluntary institutions, it has been revealed.

Organised by the Compact Voice National Network, the meetings will deem whether the Compact is effective in meeting its goal of recognising and supporting the independence of those operating in the public sector.

Furthermore, the network is to question voluntary groups and charities on ways in which the Compact can do more to protect the independence of such organisations, ThirdSector.co.uk reports.

Such news may be of interest to those charities wishing to maintain sustainable efficiencies.

There will be a meeting on May 20th, followed up by a second on June 6th.

In addition to the London dates, there will be a focus group session in York on May 22nd as well as one in Birmingham on June 5th.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the department for communities and local government is to question charity workers on whether they think their councils are doing enough to support them.

More about sustainable efficiencies.
