Nuneaton and Bedworth council ‘making progress’

Posted in General on the March 4th, 2008

Nuneaton and Bedworth borough council is making improvements, according to a new study.

In a report by the Audit Commission, those working for the public sector body were deemed to be offering a "good" service to its residents.

The local authority was praised for delivering a greater focus on customers and making use of its assets, such as land, to supplement regeneration projects.

Gary Stevens, senior manager for the Audit Commission, said: "The council has made good progress since our last assessment.

"It is delivering improvements to the area that can be seen by local people."

In addition, it was praised for its work with network partners in improving the Camp Hill and Bermuda Park areas.

Furthermore, Nuneaton and Bedworth council was commended for its "clear long-term vision" in bridging the gulf between the most and least advantaged communities across Warwickshire.

Such news may be of interest to those seeking jobs in the public sector.

Last month, Blyth Valley borough council was praised by the commission for offering an improving and accessible service to its residents.
