Hartlepool housing body praised by Audit Commission

Posted in Housing on the February 28th, 2008

Housing Hartlepool has been commended in a recent report by the Audit Commission, it has been revealed.

According to the institution, the housing body for the town offers its residents a "good" service and as such has received a two star rating.

In its report, it was praised for maintaining estates well and offering a range of choice to tenants.

Alison Brown, lead housing inspector for the Audit Commission in the north-east, said: "Housing Hartlepool is providing good customer-focused services, and performs strongly in key areas.

"It has made steady progress and has strong ambitions for the service."

In addition, those working for the institution were praised for dealing with anti-social behaviour.

Such news might be of interest to people seeking housing jobs in the public sector, as well as those looking to use a regional recruitment portal to attract such candidates.

Earlier this month, the commission commended North Lincolnshire council for offering an improving service.
