North Lincolnshire council commended by Audit Commission
Those living in North Lincolnshire are receiving an improving service from the area’s council, it has been claimed.
A new report by the Audit Commission shows that those working for the public sector institution are offering an increasingly better service to its residents.
Michael Newbury, senior manager at the Audit Commission, praised the council’s work with network partners in delivering improvements, especially in deprived areas.
He added that it is also in a prime place to make further improvements.
Mr Newbury said: "This commitment, coupled with the council’s strong track record on value for money and finances puts it in a good position to move forward."
The commission also pointed out that the council has lower operating costs, compared to bodies of a similar size and structure, indicating that it can offer cost-effective services.
In addition, North Lincolnshire council was commended for working with disadvantaged sectors of the community such as migrants and older people.
Such news may interest those seeking jobs in the public sector.
An earlier Audit Commission report indicated that Leicestershire county council is offering an improving service to its residents.
