Mental-health charities invited to new media session
Charities are being invited to a one-day session to learn how to incorporate new media into their activities, it has emerged.
Later this month, the ICT Hub will hold an event for those working for mental health charities on how to fundraise via the internet and plan their IT strategies.
In addition, attendants will be taught to use online games, take part in interactive sessions and how to be network partners with other organisations.
The event takes place on February 22nd and is to be held in London.
Nicky Thompson, head of the ICT Hub, said: "With more people using the internet, organisations need to keep one step ahead of the game, this means being aware of the techniques for fundraising, storage of information and using online tools that could benefit their organisation and service users."
There are 20 places on the course which are available free for those charities with an annual income of under £100,000.
It was recently revealed that charities in Ipswich have been invited by the Media Trust to attend a session on forging relationships with the media.
