Charities join forces to offer financial advice

A number of charities are joining forces to provide financial advice to current armed forces personnel, veterans and their dependants, it has emerged.

Citizens Advice, along with the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and the Royal British Legion, are to work together in offering such consumers guidance on how to manage their money at 18 Citizens Advice offices across the country. Continue reading…

Voluntary organisations are “advocates” of social justice

Those working in the third sector via voluntary organisations, charities and other bodies could see their campaigns have greater effect by adopting a human rights based approach, it has been suggested.

Voluntary sector achievement initiative launched

A programme designed to help those operating in the third sector to demonstrate their achievements is to be rolled out across Britain.

Developed by the Research Centre at City College Norwich, the Soft Outcomes Universal Learning Record, also known as the Soul Record, teaches people working for third sector bodies how best to prove to management, funding bodies and local government authorities their accomplishments.
