Warrington council ‘addressing community responsibility well’
Warrington council is providing a good service to its residents, a new Audit Commission report reveals.
According to the commission, those operating for the public sector body are offering good outcomes for children and young people, news that may interest people seeking social work jobs and those looking to hire such candidates through a regional recruitment portal.
Meanwhile, the council is also stated as working well with network partners.
In addition it was also revealed that crime levels are falling and that "good arrangements" are in place to reduce antisocial behaviour.
Julian Farmer, senior manager for the Audit Commission, said: "There is an ambitious agenda for the area which focuses on social, economic and physical improvements, as well as addressing important issues of ensuring sustainability, reducing inequalities and building community responsibility."
The commission also stated that it has a "good understanding" of the needs of local residents.
Earlier this month, Bolton council, a public sector body which is also based in the north-west of England, was also deemed as "performing strongly".
