Government launches IT public sector recruitment scheme

The government has rolled out a scheme aiming to attract leaders within the public sector, it has emerged.

“Excellent” number of social care jobs created

An increasing number of jobs in the social care sector are being created, new figures indicate.

In the latest Mandis/Adecco Job Creation Index, more than 40,833 posts were opened across 21 of the country’s key industries over the course of last month - a rise of 20 per cent from September 2006.

Charities are set to receive guidance on promoting best practice in regards to environmental sustainability, it has emerged.

Those in the voluntary sector need to work with the government and local communities to help tackle social exclusion, a politician has claimed.
