‘Cascades’ can boost provision of affordable housing
More affordable homes could be provided under flexible mechanisms or ‘cascades’ within S.106 agreements, it has been suggested.

‘More research needed’ into funding for voluntary sector
A recent report concerning the level of funding for companies in the voluntary sector is not comprehensive enough to give an accurate assessment, it has been claimed.
In a response to a letter by the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA), Steve Bundred, chief executive for the Audit Commission which produced the Hearts and Minds: commissioning from the voluntary sector report, stated that while local authorities have both increased and decreased the amount of money available to such organisations, "our sample is too small to state any firm conclusion either way".
