Charities to receive guidance
A new series of workshops could be set to help those in the charity field manage their donations - and consequently their businesses - more effectively, it has been claimed.
According to the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), a total of £700 million goes unclaimed on donations every year - money which could be by those working for charities towards good causes.< br/>
Now the CAF is to run a series of courses from next month helping organisations to make the most of the money they receive and how to successfully target companies to source donations from.
In addition, there will also be tailored training workshops for those involved in charity work which in turn could help organisations in the voluntary sector with their talent management.
Charities will also receive guidance on web promotion and the effective recruitment of donors via the internet.
Earlier this week, Steve Bundred, chief executive for the Audit Commission, clamed that more research was needed into whether the level of funding for companies in the voluntary sector.
