JGP Supports Public Sector Jobs Week
The Public Sector is gearing up for a week of promotions to highlight career opportunities within the sector during Public Sector Jobs Week 2007.
Held annually, it is an opportunity to highlight the whole sector as a viable career choice to those who may not have thought of the Public Sector as an option. The large variety of career choices include not only the more traditional roles in Taxation & Regulation, Social Security and Social Services, but also encompass more broadly the National Health System, Education System and our Transportation Network.
The week is widely supported by the media and also features a one day conference aimed at recruiters. This is designed to add value to their roles by sharing best practice and the latest thinking about recruitment.
JGP co-founder Richard Tyrie believes that best practice can be encouraged through building effective partnerships. “By working collaboratively local councils are better able to direct vital resources into attracting and retaining talent and collectively building the reputation of local government as the number one career choice”. Richard Tyrie will be supporting Liz Copeland, a Consultant with the I&DeA in speaking about the partnership approach to e-recruitment and talent pools with the development of the new LGTalent website launched in March.
JGP, the leading provider of web-based talent management technology to the public sector, has launched a jobs board to coincide with Public Sector Jobs Week which runs from the 14-18th May 2007.
The jobs board also links candidates to the jobsgopublic.com network of suppliers, providing access to up to 50,000 advertised public sector job vacancies a year.
Employers wishing to advertise on the JGP network during this week of special promotions are eligible for a media deal available exclusively on the Public Sector Jobs Week website.
As a supporter of Public Sector Jobs Week, JGP helps Public Sector organisations attract and retain the diverse, talented people who make a difference to communities and individuals.
